China, Japan and Indonesia share honour of largest contingent in London

BWF - The qualification lists and seeding reports of the 2011 Yonex BWF World Championships have now been finalised.

This is the 19th edition of the Championships and is the sport’s London 2012 Olympic test event.
China, who swept all five World titles at the 2010 event in Paris, has secured 17 qualification berths across the five disciplines of the sport in 2011. Japan is making an equally strong presence after taking 16 qualification berths, while Indonesia snatched 15 qualification berths.
A new women’s singles World Champion will be crowned in London as none of the former winners have qualified for the 2011 Championships. Yu Yang will be defending her women’s doubles title with a new partner, Wang Xiaoli. While Ma Jin will be defending her mixed doubles title with a new partner, Xu Chen.
The live draw of the 2011 World Championships will take place today at 1400h in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
